Who we are
We are an association of young physicians, scientists, and technologists (MTRs) with tremendous commitment and enthusiasm for nuclear medicine. Specifically, we are both deeply passionate and invested in the support of the youngsters within the vibrant field of nuclear medicine. We welcome the opportunity to contribute with our executive team to the evolution and growth of our specialty with a strong focus on facilitating early career-level opportunities, goodwill, and collaboration.
Our initiative emerged in the context of the task force „Zukunft Nuklearmedizin“ initiated by the German Society of Nuclear Medicine (DGN; Deutsche Gesellschaft für Nuklearmedizin) and we are based in Germany. However, we would be most interested in joining forces internationally as well and profoundly invite comparable nuclear medicine youngster initiatives in other countries to contact us (YoungDGN@nuklearmedizin.de)!
A major strength of nuclear medicine is the highly interdisciplinary approach with diverse disciplines involved in everyday clinical practice. We consider these interdisciplinary efforts to be the most rewarding endeavor and attach great importance to it within the Young DGN executive team. We urge young German-speaking physicians, technologists (MRTAs), students and trainees, scientists, and all other interested parties to contact us and join us in our broader vision to continue to expand and energize our organization, building further bridges across all our various disciplines to promote the rapid evolution of nuclear medicine. Through unity of purpose, we will make a difference, together!
